This session is part of the core training program for all layreaders in the diocese. Presented by the Rev. David Peer, this course will focus on preparation and the conduct of worship in a congregational setting. The course would provide structure and guidance for Layreaders who are called to lead worship independently in their parish or another parish. The course would primarily cover the offices of morning prayer, evening prayer, and compline and will touch on conducting the burial office, using both the BCP and BAS. A free will offering to help cover refreshments would be appreciated.
