St. Luke’s is hiring a Pastoral Assistant for Youth and Family!

We are looking for an energetic, mature Christian to facilitate our burgeoning family ministry while also providing oversight to the youth at our parish.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a committed disciple of Jesus Christ.
  • Have some experience working with youth and children.
  • Have some church ministry experience, preferably with knowledge of the Anglican tradition.
  • Have some theological training/education.
  • Be outgoing, friendly, and comfortable taking initiative.

The main duties of this position include:

  • Leading, with the help of volunteers, our children’s ministry each week during our 10:30am service.
  • Organizing, equipping, and recruiting Sunday school teachers.
  • Facilitating a regular rhythm of prayer and fellowship for the youth of St. Luke’s.
  • Overseeing the development of family ministry in the wider parish.

The successful candidate will report to the Rector and Wardens and will work with the other staff of St. Luke’s. S/he will also need to have police and vulnerable sector checks upon hiring. 

This position will begin with 8 hours per week, with the possibility for expansion as our parish continues to grow. 

Working hours and location are flexible, but the candidate will need to be on site for Sunday morning from 9:30-12:30pm.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and training and will be open to negotiation.
