Community Engagement

Community Engagement

reconnect & reframe series - Thursday, March 9, 2023

Part 2 of our ReConnect & ReFrame series will take place in March. Join us as we explore how we can engage with the communities in which we have been planted and our neighbours.

As Church leaders, we are constantly facing the challenge of responding to the needs in our community and how we can engage, in healthy ways, with those beyond our congregational lists. Instead of being frustrated by sports schedules, leisure activities, or indifference, we're going to chat with and hear from some individuals who have taken the risk to engage with their communities.

Join us for Part 2 of our important series - March 2 & 9, from 7-8:30PM over Zoom. Participants will have a chance for Q&A with the presenters and a short break-out to discuss how the principles are relevant in your parish/community.

For more information, contact Shawn C. Branch.

This series is in collaboration with the Diocese of Nova Scotia & Prince Edwards Island.

Hope Amidst Crisis

Hope Amidst Crisis

With Dr. Ryan Weston, Lead Animator, Public Witness for Social and Ecological Justice, ACC - Wednesday, March 22, 2023

Canada is experiencing a national housing crisis in cities, rural communities, and Indigenous territories, with increasing rates of homelessness, a lack of affordable housing, and insufficient supports for those most vulnerable to housing insecurity. It is easy to despair in the face of such challenges, but we can also respond with hope! This event will focus on nurturing hope, taking action, and working towards solutions that create tangible differences for our communities. Together we can face this crisis head on, and proceed faithfully to address it and live out the call to love all of our neighbours.

This is an in-person event at Christ Church Cathedral that will also be live-streamed.

Ryan Weston has been the Lead Animator, Public Witness for Social and Ecological Justice at the Anglican Church of Canada for 6 years.

Taste and See...

Anglican Renewal Ministries is dedicated to bringing the life and power of the Holy Spirit to all Christians. ARM has been serving the Anglican Church of Canada for over 30 years.

We are pleased to offer a video series called “Leaning into Lent,” on the six ways we are called to observe a Holy Lent:  self-examination, penitence, prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and reading and meditating on the Word of God.

We also offer a quarterly magazine called “Taste and See…" with articles to uplift and encourage you in your walk with Christ.   We hope this magazine will be a source of encouragement to all.

The video series, sample articles and a free copy of the magazine are available on our website:  https://www.armcanada.org/ .
