NB Anglican wins best Christian newspaper

Second year in a row

The Canadian Christian Communicators Association annual awards gala was held May 26 and the New Brunswick Anglican won only one prize.

However, it was the most prestigious category of General Excellence — naming it the best Christian newspaper in Canada, with editor Gisele McKnight at the helm. This is the second consecutive year it has won this category. It also won in 2020.

ReFrame Missional Cohort, Round II

Applications are now open for the second round of our diocesan ReFrame Missional Cohort. The purpose of the cohort is to wrestle with the changing realities of leadership in the Church during our time and as well consider implementing some outreach and missional initiatives within their parish/community.

Interested individuals need to apply, as spaces are limited and only one participant per parish in each cohort.

Comic Relief!

Eight-year-old Susie came home from school and informed her mother that today in class they had learned how to make babies. The mother, rather shaken by the development, called the teacher to complain.

After listening to the mother complain for a few minutes, the teacher responded, "Did you ask her to explain how it is done?"

"No," said the mother.

"Then ask her and call me back," replied the teacher.

"So how DO you make babies?" the mother asked her daughter.

Susie responded, "You drop the 'y' and add 'ies.'"
