AST presents
Sacramental Action: Anglican God, Ethics, and Social Media This course creates a forum for conversation that brings together the work of Christian theologians and media theorists’ views on the benefits and perils of new technology. How do ‘mediated’ practices shape us and the experience of church? What happens to social and political conversations given the blend of corporate and civic in social media spaces? What counter-practices can the Christian tradition offer in our age of “techno-creep,” “surveillance capitalism,” and “data religion”? Dates: Sept. 12 -Dec. 5, 4-6:30 p.m. |

St. Michael's Youth Conference - Maritimes
St. Michael’s is an annual conference in the Anglican tradition for youth aged 13–19. Together we pray, study, and play. Since 1987, St Michael’s has formed a vibrant community within the Anglican Church in the Maritimes. Our conference participants—or Michaelites!—don’t do things by half measures. When we worship, we worship God reverently in spirit and truth. When we study, we challenge ourselves to learn deeply. When we kick back for games and activities, we make sure that we have a blast. Since 2022, St Michael’s Youth Conference has been held at Camp Medley in Upper Gagetown, NB. This facility has waterfront access to the Wolastoq (St John River), facilities for outdoor activities, a supervised swimming pool, a large dining hall, comfortable cabins, and a chapel.
