Another captain added to the [Anglican] military chaplaincy
It was at the 2019 Diocesan Synod that the Rev. Capt. Mike Caines had a conversation with the Rev. Stephen Harnish. Mike and the other military chaplains had worn their uniforms to Synod, and Mike was passing out information, trying to recruit more military chaplains. Guest speakers are David Nickerson from Brenan’s Funeral Home and lawyer Kelli Lester. Death & Taxes are part of life! What do you need to know? How do you plan for the future? Dinner will be breakfast! Come and join us for pancakes, sausages, homemade beans and apple crumble. During our meal, we will come together as family, praying, discussing the message of the Holy Gospel, laughing, loving, and we will complete the evening with the Blessed Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. Please come and join us. Everyone is welcome, everyone is loved, everyone is family! Saturday, Nov. 4, 11 a.m. Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving, St. Paul’s in Hampton, for all whom we have laid to rest. One very special moment in the service will be the Rose Ceremony during which family members and friends can have the name(s) of their loved one(s) read aloud as a rose is offered in their memory. |

Research topic on hope needs recruits
I am the research assistant for a new research study on hope titled, Room for Hope: Investigating experiences with hope in those with terminal or life-limiting diagnoses, their families and healthcare providers, led by Kristen Augustin (registered dietician, Horizon Health Network). We are looking to recruit people in New Brunswick with terminal or life-limiting diagnoses or their family members to participate in an interview. The purpose of this study is to help understand experiences with hope and its impact for terminal patients or those with life limiting diagnoses, their families, and healthcare providers.
