Wednesday, Nov. 1, 6 p.m. The Parishes of Andover and Denmark will hold a Dinner Church Service at the Trinity Church parish hall. Dinner will be breakfast! Come and join us for pancakes, sausages, homemade beans and apple crumble. During our meal, we will come together as family, praying, discussing the message of the Holy Gospel, laughing, loving, and we will complete the evening with the Blessed Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. Please come and join us. Everyone is welcome, everyone is loved, everyone is family! Friday, Nov. 3, 4 - 6 p.m. & Saturday Nov. 4, 10 a.m-1 p.m. Trinity Church Saint John will hold its Fall Book Sale and Craft & Christmas Corner (Friday). Books will be $1 and $2. Saturday, Nov. 4, 11 a.m. Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving, St. Paul’s in Hampton, for all whom we have laid to rest. One very special moment in the service will be the Rose Ceremony during which family members and friends can have the name(s) of their loved one(s) read aloud as a rose is offered in their memory. Saturday, Nov. 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Christmas Bazaar at Christ Church (Parish) Church, 245 Westmorland St., Fredericton. Christmas cooking and crafts, silent auction, and new-to-you items. The Church Closet, featuring clothing and books, will be operating, as will a Christmas café. Cash only. Saturday, Nov. 18, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Christmas tea and quilt show, at St. Mary & St. Bartholomew, 646 Westmorland Rd., Saint John. Crafts, gifts, silent auction, bake sale. Sandwiches and sweets will be served. Adults $10, children 12 and under $5. Tickets available at the door or from the church office. Friday, Nov. 24, 11 a.m – 1 p.m. Community lunch & Christmas baking & craft sale at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 2 Hammond River Rd. Quispamsis. There's no fee to attend and everyone is welcome! Learn to make beautiful greeting cards with Pat Jones. This is a hands-on workshop at Holy Trinity, Hammond River, that promises to be filled with learning, fun and laughter. Limited registration. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2:30 p.m. St. Paul’s Church in Rothesay will hold its 15th annual Sounds for Sigowet concert, followed by a silent auction and an elegant tea with treats. All proceeds will enable orphans to attend secondary school in Eldoret, Kenya. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students and are available at the church office or by calling 506-847-1812 or 506-849-2414. Advent RetreatScripture - A Doorway to Advent Hope, Peace and Action - Friday, December 8, 2023 Join friends from across the diocese and beyond for a 24-hour Advent breakaway. Our Advent Retreat, Scripture - A Doorway to Advent Hope, Peace, and Action, is open to anyone (Anglican or not) who is looking for a moment to pause and reflect on the true meaning of the season. Our retreat leader (teacher) is Fr. Bill Brennan. Bill was ordained for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint John, NB in 1985 and over the years has always been involved with parish ministry and is presently the Pastor at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish (Hanwell/ McAdam/Kingsclear area). Since the early 1990's he has been involved in the ministry of Spiritual Direction, All are welcome - pre-registration is required. Costs - Overnight: $140 | Couples: $215 | Commuter: $95 (meals included) Registration deadline is November 29, 2023; spaces are limited. (Some bursary funding is available.)
