April 11 Reflector:

Joel Kelling is the Anglican Alliance's regional facilitator for the Middle East and Provincial Administrator (Jerusalem & the Middle East). Joel and his wife, Fiona, began visiting the region in 2010 and have lived there since 2015. Joel's current work came after two years of volunteering in the Dean's office at St. George's Cathedral, Jerusalem, whilst Fiona was working as the Shelter Cluster Coordinator for Palestine. Joel trained and practiced as an architect, having discerned his vocation intentionally through the support of Archbishop Hosam Naoum and was accepted as an ordinand in the Diocese of Jerusalem in 2022. Joel has worked alongside PWRDF through the Anglican Working Group on Migration, and most recently through the Anglican Alliance-convened response to the crisis in Gaza and the West Bank. His other work is focused on Creation Care and Church and Community Transformation. He and Fiona live in Amman, Jordan, with their two children Aidan and Nora.
