Layreaders' DayTheme: Pastoral Care / Visitation - Saturday, April 20, 2024 Meeting at Christ Church Cathedral and/or Memorial Hall, 150 and 168 Church St., Fredericton. Lunch will be provided. The key theme will be Pastoral Care / Visitation offered by Dr. Ken Neilson. Ken is a semi-retired professional counsellor/educator, integrating Psychology and Theology, and a former diocesan Parish Development Officer. Ken notes that this day will be about the journey toward visiting and connecting to people who invite us into their story and into their lives. As necessary as counselling is for people at different times in their lives, what is needed, and what is more sustainable, are people who care and offer themselves to connect and comfort. We wish to bring the comfort and caring of God to people we visit. There will also be some time with Archbishop David. Tentative Agenda Contact 506-459-1801 (x1001) or cheryl.jacobs@anglican.nb.ca if you have questions. For more infomation visit:

Clergy Spouses RetreatFor clergy spouses, widows and widowers - Thursday, May 2, 2024 Embrace your SeasonUnderstanding God’s Design for our FlourishingLet's journey together to understand the boundaries and limitations of our seasons and stages as followers of Jesus. It's natural to experience change and face challenges in life, but gaining a deeper understanding of God's design and intention for these seasons can help us embrace our current stage of life with grace and peace. Identifying the season we are in or facing can be difficult, but it can also help us draw closer to Christ and rely more fully on Him. No matter our age, call or capacity, we all experience times when a season of surrender is necessary for our soul's well-being. Let's discover how to support each other through each season and embrace them with the love and kindness that Jesus has for us. Brochure | RegisterIf you have questions, please contact Elinor Joyce at 506-566-6808 or eewjoyce at gmail.com; or speak to Val Phinney or Anna Caines.
