The Most Rev. Chris Harper, National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop, will be in the Diocese Sept. 13-20. He is visiting at the invitation of Archbishop David Edwards.

“Right now we’re working on the finishing touches,” said director of mission and ministry Shawn Branch, who is co-ordinating the visit.

The Rev. Canon Allen Tapley is reappointed honorary assistant in the shared ministry of the Parishes of St. Mark's, Sussex and Waterford as of Sept. 1.

Clergy Anniversary

Clergy anniversaries are recognized at 10 and 25 years and subsequent 5-year intervals.

The Parish of Cambridge and Waterborough is seeking to purchase a chalice and paten, plus a travelling communion kit, from a parish in the Diocese that may have ones they are not using.  These items were recently stolen from the Church of the Good Shepherd in Cambridge-Narrows.

Are you considering Adult Faith Formation programming resources for the fall? Do you want to increase Christian discipleship in your community of faith? AST is pleased to announce the launch of the Atlantic School of Discipleship. This new program begins in October 2024.

About the Program
Through interaction with AST’s world-class teachers, congregational groups will be introduced to a solid foundation of how Christian faith and tradition impact our daily walk as followers of Jesus. Each month focuses on a different topic. Participants receive readings and reflection questions, join live (via Zoom) presentations and have opportunities to interact with questions and conversations that lead to deeper understanding.

We encourage participation by group (parishes/congregations/pastoral charges, etc.) to create stronger and more long-lasting results.

Cost
•    $1,000 per group (Leader plus four participants from the same faith community)
•    $300 per person (Individual participants)
