A fitting place for Rolls of Honour. Prayers for the coming primatial nominations. Parish Officers' Day

Anglican Diocese of Fredericton
eNews for April 1, 2025
A fitting place for Rolls of Honour

A fitting place for Rolls of Honour

When a church is deconsecrated, along with the inevitable feeling of loss, there is a lot of work to do. One of those tasks is finding a new home for so much that’s accumulated over the decades.

One highly valued item in many New Brunswick churches is the Roll of Honour — the framed list of parishioners who answered the call to go to war.

Camp Medley 80th Anniversary Celebration

Camp Medley 80th Anniversary Celebration

When you turn 80 years old, there ought to be a big celebration. That’s what’s planned for Camp Medley, the diocesan camp which opened in 1945 as a place for kids to get out of the cities and back to fresh air and nature. Everyone is invited, especially those with a link to the camp.

The day will include a worship service, live music, memorabilia, food, tours and more. Accommodations will be available for those needing or wanting to stay the night.

If readers have any memorabilia from camp — crafts, photos, t-shirts — they’d like to show off, they’re asked to contact John (director@campmedley.ca). As well, if readers have stories from camp they’d like to share, please send them to this address:  friends@campmedley.ca.

St. Michael's Youth Conference - Maritimes

St. Michael's Youth Conference - Maritimes

St. Michael’s is an annual conference in the Anglican tradition for youth aged 13–19. Together we pray, study, and play. Since 1987, St Michael’s has formed a vibrant community within the Anglican Church in the Maritimes. Our conference participants—or Michaelites!—don’t do things by half measures. When we worship, we worship God reverently in spirit and truth. When we study, we challenge ourselves to learn deeply. When we kick back for games and activities, we make sure that we have a blast.
