Diocesan Choir School makes gains. Parish event. Summer concert series at CCPC

Anglican Diocese of Fredericton
e-News for July 15, 2025
Diocesan Choir School makes gains

Diocesan Choir School makes gains

First, the bad news: the planned week-long event had to be pared down to four days due to not enough youngsters signing up.

Now the good news: There were 15 new choristers in attendance, 10 of them young adults.

“We had to shorten it because we didn’t have enough kids,” said co-chair Mary Louise Belyea. “But that spurred us on to open it up to young adults 16 and over.”

St. Michael's Youth Conference - Maritimes

St. Michael's Youth Conference - Maritimes

St. Michael’s is an annual conference in the Anglican tradition for youth aged 13–19. Together we pray, study, and play. Since 1987, St Michael’s has formed a vibrant community within the Anglican Church in the Maritimes. Our conference participants—or Michaelites!—don’t do things by half measures. When we worship, we worship God reverently in spirit and truth. When we study, we challenge ourselves to learn deeply. When we kick back for games and activities, we make sure that we have a blast.
