Among featured items are handknit and crocheted hats, scarves, mittens, and wool socks as well as quilts, afghans, cushions and wall hanging. As well, art, fabrics, yarns, crafting supplies, notions, books and patterns will be showcased with jams, jellies, preserves and a bake sale. Visit of Archbishop Chris Harper
National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop Chris Harper will be in the diocese September 13-19 primarily as keynote speaker at the annual clergy conference. From the ACC website: Born in Saskatchewan and a member of the Onion Lake Cree Nation, Archbishop Harper is a graduate of Wycliffe College. His parish ministries have included on and off reserve, and shared ministry with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. He has also been involved in numerous committees within the Anglican Church of Canada, including the Anglican Council of Indigenous Peoples, Council of General Synod, Provincial Synod and the Diocesan Executives for Saskatchewan and Algoma. Harper is the former Diocesan bishop of Saskatoon. He was installed as indigenous archbishop in May 2023. Archbishop Harper’s confirmed schedule of events:

Godly Play Core Training
A workshop to empower and inspire - to explore Godly Play as a creative approach to nurturing children’s faith. Training is offered in modules over two weekends: Friday pm to Saturday pm. October 18-19 and November 15-16 This training includes the art of Christian language in parables, sacred stories, liturgical actions and silence. It highlights creating sacred space, supporting children’s spirituality and community. Together participants will explore the principles and practices of Godly Play including plenary sessions on the Godly Play Environment, the Spirituality of the Child, and the Community of Children. Participants experience telling stories and receiving supportive feedback. Both those new to Godly Play and experienced storytellers and doorpersons who want to refresh their skills are welcome.
