Nov. 22 & 23 Fall Book and Christmas Sale at Trinity, Saint John. Friday 4-7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Estate collection of books, with a sizeable collection of quality culinary books along with a sizeable collection of spiritual resource books along with the full array of books for one’s reading enjoyment. Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m. All Saints ACW, Parish of St. Andrews Christmas bazaar, with New-to-You, bake table, books, jewelry, Christmas items, silent auction, raffle and more! Refreshments available. Parish Hall, 75 King Street, St. Andrews. Nov 23 & 24 The Village of Gagetown hosts its annual Christmas in the Village celebration of arts, crafts and culture. St. John's Anglican church is open for a display of Nativity scenes from around the world on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. Soup and beverages available at the Parish Hall during the same hours. Nov. 23 & 24, 6:30-8 p.m. Christ Church Pennfield presents “A Walk Through Bethlehem,” their annual gift to the community. Come and meet the characters from the Nativity story. Taking place at the church, 80 Route 778, Pennfield. All are welcome. Nov. 30, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. St. Ann’s Anglican Church in Westcock (Parish of Sackville) will hold its annual Christmas bazaar with a bake table, wreaths, crafts, “new to you “tables, and a café serving cider, teas, coffees and holiday breads for your enjoyment. |
Advent RetreatFriday, December 13, 2024 Join friends from across the diocese and beyond for a 24-hour Advent breakaway. Our Advent Retreat is open to anyone (Anglican or not) looking for a moment to pause and reflect on the season's true meaning. Our retreat leader (teacher) is Bishop Sandra Fyfe. Bishop Sandra is the 17th diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, having been elected and consecrated to that role in 2020. Before that, she served as rector of the Parish of Horton (Wolfville NS). She is a gifted retreat leader and has led a variety of retreats across the Atlantic provinces. All are welcome - pre-registration is required. Costs - Overnight: $140 | Couples: $215 | Commuter: $95 (meals included) Registration deadline is December 4, 2024; spaces are limited.
