Thursday, Nov. 28, 7 p.m. St. John’s ACW presents the annual church pre-Christmas auction at St. John’s Anglican Church, Salisbury. The evening begins with a bake sale, then the auction and refreshments. To bid on: Christmas décor, household items, art, clothing and more. Thursday, Nov. 28, 7 p.m. Trinity Saint John will hold a Service of Light (also known as Blue Christmas) Eighth annual service of music, scripture and prayer along with individual one-on-one requests for healing prayer during the service. Lighting of candles for the cares and memories those attending might have, to bring a physical presence to the service. Saturday, Nov. 30, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. A gathering at Trinity, Saint John, where the focus will be on The Words of Christmas: Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Bethlehem, Angels, Shepherds, Donkey, Star, Magi, Joy, Noel, Carol, Emmanuel, Hallelujah, Saviour and Peace. Bring your own sandwich for the noon break; coffee, tea and dessert will be provided. There is no cost other than your time. Nov. 30, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Christmas Crèche Festival is back, featuring a community lunch, bake sale and nativity set display. Join us at Holy Trinity, 2 Hammond River Rd, Quispamsis for a delicious community lunch (free will offering) and bake/craft sale. On display will be a variety of crèches or nativity sets for you to enjoy from around the world. If you have a nativity set to display, or would like more information call 506-647-8170. All are invited & all are welcome! Tickets not needed — just drop in! Nov. 30, 1-3 p.m. Church of the Good Shepherd, Cambridge-Narrows, will host a Christmas tea, with sandwiches, sweets and tea. Craft and Goodies Tables as well. Admission is by donation. Nov. 30, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. St. Ann’s Anglican Church in Westcock (Parish of Sackville) will hold its annual Christmas bazaar with a bake table, wreaths, crafts, “new to you “tables, and a café serving cider, teas, coffees and holiday breads for your enjoyment. Saturday, Nov. 30, 7 p.m. The Anglican Parish of St. Stephen welcomes you to a Christmas concert at Christ Church, 30 Prince William Street, St. Stephen, featuring a variety of talent. A freewill offering will go to charity. Light refreshments to follow. Dec. 1, 4 p.m. The Archdeaconry of Moncton will host a Service of Lessons and Carols for Advent at St. George’s Anglican Church, Moncton. Archbishop David will attend and the collection with benefit three local charities. It will be a wonderful, reflective start to your Advent journey. Friday, Dec. 6, 5-9 p.m. Uptown Sparkles – Trinity Saint John will have their huge red doors open for all to come in and enjoy the sounds of the season along with a cup of hot chocolate and a sweet. Come and take the time to enjoy the beauty of the 1880 Gothic Trinity and sit back in the comfortably cushioned pews. Saturday, Dec. 7, 11 a.m. Christmas lunch and bake sale at St. Paul’s, Rothesay. Christmas décor, baked goods, jams and preserves. Tickets are $15, contact the parish office at 506-847-1812. Saturday, Dec. 7, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Annual Christmas Tea at the Kingston Parish Hall. We will also have a new-to-you Christmas table (items can be dropped off to the Parish Office anytime). The ACW will have a bake table. Also, on that same day please drop into the MacDonald Consolidated School Annual Christmas Stop and Shop, beginning at 10 a.m., and Fullerton’s Corner Market for their Annual Christmas Sale, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Chiming & Timing Appreciation Gala at Trinity Saint John. Join us for the finale of the one-year fundraising project, which includes the latest technology to upgrade both the steeple tower city clock and the 12-bell carillon. We look forward to seeing one and all as we collectively say thank you to so many who made this project such an overwhelming success. Saturday, Dec. 14, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Anglican Church of the Ascension, 2980 Route 121, Apohaqui, will hold an Open House. Drop by and see our historic 152-year-old church fully decorated for the Christmas season. Enjoy a cup of mulled cider and some sweet treats while you relax and take in the beauty of the season. Sunday, December 15, 7 p.m. "Christmas at Camp Medley," an ecumenical service of Carols and Lessons in the (unheated) Camp Medley chapel followed by hot cider and cookies in the (heated) dining hall. Bring your singing voices, warm clothes and a blanket! Sunday, Dec. 17, 7 p.m. Trinity Saint John, through Spencer Belyea, will present Handel’s Messiah. There is no more beautiful setting than Trinity to sit back and enjoy the wonderful evening of music. The acoustics are second to none. Tickets available at the door.

Our Advent Retreat is open to anyone (Anglican or not) looking for a moment to pause and reflect on the season's true meaning. Retreat theme: 'Meditations on Mary' Our retreat leader (teacher) is Bishop Sandra Fyfe. Bishop Sandra is the 17th diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, having been elected and consecrated to that role in 2020. Before that, she served as rector of the Parish of Horton (Wolfville NS). She is a gifted retreat leader and has led a variety of retreats across the Atlantic provinces. All are welcome - pre-registration is required. Costs - Overnight: $140 | Couples: $215 | Commuter: $95 (meals included) Registration deadline is December 4, 2024; spaces are limited.
