A month of gratitude, a ministry of presenceA small glimpse into Clergy Appreciation Month As October draws to a close, Clergy Appreciation Month offers an opportunity to recognize the clergy who walk alongside our congregations through the ordinary and extraordinary moments of parish life. Throughout the diocese, gratitude takes many forms, sometimes as simple as gathering around a table, sharing a meal and celebrating the relationships built through years of ministry. Here are two glimpses of that appreciation in action, shared with us by the communities of St. George’s, McAdam and the Parish of Restigouche. Advent Book StudyWalking with Angels - Wednesday, December 2, 2026 Thinking about Advent? Join the diocesan Advent book study. This year, we’ll explore Eleanor Sanderson’s Walking with Angels: The Archbishop of York’s Advent Book 2026. About the book: Slow down and prepare for Christmas through prayer, Scripture, and reflection. Drawing on the words spoken by angels in the Bible, Walking with Angels invites us to consider how God’s good news meets us in everyday life. Through prayer walking, journalling, and discussion questions, Sanderson encourages us to deepen our love for God, our neighbours, and ourselves as we journey through the four weeks of Advent.
