St. George

The Parish of Bathurst encompasses the City of Bathurst and the surrounding area.  There is one church building, St. George’s, which also includes a hall, Religious Education and Organization Centre, Church of the Ascension Chapel (located in the REO Centre) and a parish office.  The parish uses both the Book of Common Prayer and the Book of Alternative Services.

The Parish vision is “to seek God in Scripture, worship and prayer and serve Him by showing the love of Jesus to the world, in word and action, through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
