On December 11, the reflector will be the Right. Rev Ann Martha Keenainak, Suffragan Bishop, Diocese of the Arctic.
The Right Rev. Ann Martha Keenainak was elected suffragan bishop of the South Baffin deanery of the Diocese of the Arctic in May of this year. She is one of three suffragan bishops who, together with Bishop Alexander Pryor, serve the 31 Anglican parishes scattered across the geographically vast diocese. Bishop Ann Martha is also an instructor, teaching in both English and Inuktitut, with the Arthur Turner Training School (ATTS), a theological college in the Diocese of the Arctic. The school trains northern people, both lay and ordained, for the ministry of Christ's Church in the Canadian north. Since 2024, Bishop Ann Martha has served on the Board of Directors of Alongside Hope as the representative of the House of Bishops. She lives in Iqaluit, the capital of the Territory of Nunavut where the diocesan cathedral, St. Jude’s is located.
