Join Alongside Hope (formerly PWRDF) staff and friends for a time of prayer and reflection for the partners, volunteers and staff of PWRDF (name changing to Alongside Hope), monthly on the second Thursday at 2:00 pm (Atlantic), followed by a virtual coffee time.
Register here to receive a reminder email with link as well as a link to the recording after each session.
On January 8, the reflector will be Will Postma, the Executive Director at Alongside Hope.
Will joined Alongside Hope in June 2016, prior to which he worked with Save the Children Canada, World Vision Canada, and CARE International. Will has learned so much from the time he spent, including with his family, from the people and partners in Mali, Niger, Bangladesh, and Tanzania as well as from the many partners and supporters of Alongside Hope. Will has published papers and other learning materials on Participatory Development, Capacity Building and Results Based Management. He has carried out primary research on state and civil society dynamics in West Africa. This year, as part of a sabbatical, he did some work and is nearing completion of a reflection on what he is calling “messy but meaningful partnerships.” Will and his wife, Rebecca, are the parents of two young adult children, Aaron and Hannah. They live in Georgetown, Ontario with their dog, Shadow. As often as possible, they cycle, hike, cross-country ski and have the occasional downhill ski adventure too.
