Join PWRDF/Alongside Hope staff and friends for a time of prayer and reflection for the partners, volunteers and staff of PWRDF (name changing to Alongside Hope), monthly on the second Thursday at 2:00 pm (Atlantic), followed by a virtual coffee time.
Suzanne Rumsey, PWRDF/Alongside Hope’s Public Engagement Program Coordinator, will kick off the new year as reflector.
Suzanne Rumsey was born and raised in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, the traditional and unceded territory of the Ktunaxa First Nation. She joined the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) in 2001 as the Latin America and Caribbean Program Coordinator and in 2010 moved to her current position as Public Engagement Program Coordinator. Prior to joining PWRDF, Suzanne worked for a decade with the Inter-Church Committee on Human Rights in Latin America (ICCHRLA), one of the predecessor coalitions of KAIROS Canada. Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta, and a Master of Theological Studies degree from Trinity College, University of Toronto. In her spare time, she is a non-competitive triathlete and is working on a biography about her father, Rev. Gavin Rumsey. She lives with her son, Robin, a student at UofT, in downtown Toronto.
