The Bishop of Fredericton seeks to appoint a priest and incumbent to the Anglican Parish of Fredericton in the Diocese of Fredericton.

This single-point urban parish is located in the heart of the capital City of Fredericton and has been continuously operating since 1786. Experiencing new and diverse growth in recent years, the membership is approximately 250 with an average of over 120 attending each Sunday.

The facilities include Christ Church, constructed in the 1960s, which includes a large nave, a large church hall with attached kitchen, a smaller lounge with a second kitchen, a gymnasium, meeting rooms, a family room and offices. The historic St. Anne's Chapel-of-Ease is also attached.

This is an active parish which is also involved in the local community, including building supported housing units, and with the main building also serving as meeting space for various community groups. Worship services include Sunday Eucharists at 8:30 a.m. (BCP) and 10:30 a.m. (BAS and BCP), Taizé-style worship on Wednesdays, and periodic Complines.

Please include the following in an expression of interest:

  • A Curriculum Vitae.
  • A written statement of about 500 words outlining why you are being called to explore this opportunity.
  • The names and contact information for three referees prepared to provide information on the cleric’s pastoral skills, his or her interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build community, ministry experience and sensitivity.
