The Bishop of Fredericton seeks to appoint a priest and rector to the Anglican Parish of Richmond in the Diocese of Fredericton.

The Parish of Richmond is a three-point parish in the upper Saint John River valley on the west side of New Brunswick.  Worship services are held in Richmond Corner, Hartland and Jackson Falls.  The parish holds a special presence in all these communities and believe they are called to strengthen and build up each of them.

The people place a high value on a deep spiritual life, care for each other and being a missional people.  They seek an incumbent who shares these values and will provide discipleship opportunities and model a missional lifestyle.

Both the parish centre building attached to St John’s in Richmond Corner and the adjacent rectory are relatively new.  The physical facilities of Holy Trinity in Hartland, which include a hall, are modernized.

Expressions of interest will be considered as they arrive.  Please include:

  • A Curriculum Vitae.
  • A written statement of about 500 words outlining why you are being called to explore this opportunity.
  • The names and contact information for three referees prepared to provide information on the cleric’s pastoral skills, his or her interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build community, ministry experience and sensitivity. If you are an Assistant Curate or graduating postulant for ordination, you should give your Rector, supervising priest or mentor as a reference.

Clergy from outside the diocese should confirm that they have their bishop’s permission to explore a possible appointment outside of their own diocese. A confidential reference may also be requested from your diocesan bishop and in addition to other references.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a valid criminal record and vulnerable sector check and may be required to authorize a credit check.
