Say YES! to Kids

Dear friends,
I wanted to take a moment to share some news on an exciting opportunity, to as many as possible in the diocese. The Anglican Foundation is running a special appeal - Say Yes! to Kids.
This appeal is looking to raise, across the country, a significant amount of funding that will be made available for parishes to apply for late summer/early fall - with the focus being on reaching children, youth and families.
As we know, the diocese has been involved in supporting several initiatives to reach and care for children and families in our province. One such project has been InnerCity Youth Ministry, who has offered to join in helping with getting the word out and fundraising. Erin Rideout (Director) is suggesting an added activity of a family or bubble games night as part of the "fun" of this fundraiser. You could either get sponsors for your fun or simply make a family/bubble donation.
The appeal closes on July 1, so donations need to be given before then. While this is a short period, we believe we can reach this. In recent years, with our bowling and other fundraising initiatives, we have come close to this goal!
Bonus: the Foundation ensures that we will have the first option to apply for the funding of what we raise in the diocese. All parishes will be able to apply for funding once the Foundation opens for applications to this appeal.
