Trinity Church in Sussex invites 40 kids upstairs each week

It’s 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Dan McMullen is in the sanctuary of Trinity Church in Sussex, waiting. Parker Brewer, worship pastor at Encounter Wesleyan Church, is there with his guitar.

And very soon, you cannot mistake the coming tsunami of dozens of kids from ages one to five as they make their way from their daycare in the church basement to the sanctuary.

An urgent message from Farraline Home

An urgent message from Farraline Home

To our valued supporters,

At present, Farraline Home is facing a significant challenge. Six of our rooms require refurbishment before they can be occupied. This has directly impacted our ability to reach full occupancy, which is essential to maintaining the financial stability needed to cover our basic operating costs.

We are reaching out to our community for support. Contributions toward the refurbishments will have a direct and lasting impact — helping us welcome more residents, restore financial stability, and preserve this vital, affordable housing option for seniors in our region.

As a registered non-profit organization, Farraline Home is able to provide official receipts for income tax purposes for all donations.

Donations to support this project can be made via:
•  Cheque payable to “Farraline Home”
•  E-Transfer to farralinehome@rogers.com
•  Cash
Please include your name, mailing address, and the donation amount so we can issue a tax receipt.

If you would like more information before contributing, a member of our board would be pleased to meet with you personally to discuss the project and answer any questions you may have.

Your support is essential to ensuring that Farraline Home can continue serving seniors in our community for years to come. We are deeply grateful for your consideration and generosity.

WHO WE ARE: Farraline provides a welcoming residence for up to 20 seniors who value a warm, home-like atmosphere, nutritious meals, and a variety of engaging daily activities—all at an affordable, all-inclusive cost.

Farraline Home is proud to be the only non-profit senior residence in New Brunswick operating without provincial funding. As such, we rely entirely on rental income, fundraising efforts, and the generosity of our community to meet our financial obligations and continue providing care to our residents.

Respectfully submitted,
The Board of Farraline Home

New space needed for ICYM in Saint John

Inner City Youth Ministry is looking for new facility space in Saint John or the surrounding areas where we can safely store equipment and food, prepare for programs, and coordinate volunteers.

Essential needs:
● Approximately 700–1000 square feet
● Ground-floor access strongly preferred
● Reasonably secure space (not open public access)
● A space where large equipment can remain in place
● Access to parking
● Sufficient electrical capacity, or permission to complete electrical upgrades

Church basements, classrooms, shared nonprofit spaces, or unused commercial areas could all potentially work. If you know of a space and would like more details, please reach out to Bonnie Hunt at: info@icym.ca or 506-647-9813

Saint John Inner City Youth Ministry was established in 1989 as a project of the Diocese of Fredericton and the Parish of Trinity Church to provide more effective ministry to the residents of the south end of Saint John. ICYM has since established an ever growing network of community partners and focuses heavily on family wellness, including the Lunch Connection which provides hundreds of school lunches each week.
