The Canadian Christian Communicators Association annual awards event took place May 15, and the NB Anglican won three 3rd place, two second place, one 1st place and one honorable mention.

The most important category of the awards is General Excellence, which measures the entirety of the paper: its stories, photography, use of colour and fonts, layout and so on. The NB Anglican placed first once again in this category, judging it the best Christian newspaper in Canada.

Saturday, May 30, 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. A spirit centered approach to dementia care workshop. The Anglican Parish of Saint Stephen is hosting the workshop in Trinity Hall at Christ Church, 30 Prince William Street, St. Stephen. This workshop is sponsored by the Anglican Saint John Hospitals Chaplaincy, the Anglican Diocese of Fredericton and the Anglican Parish of St. Stephen, and will feature Angela King MTS, ARTC (Pedagogy), a dementia care and education specialist, consultant and spiritual care practitioner. Thy Kingdom Come is a is a global ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus.

This year's theme is: God is With Us.

Since it began in May 2016, God has grown TKC from a dream of possibility into a movement which unites more than a million Christians in prayer, in nearly 90% of countries worldwide, across 85 different denominations and traditions- so that friends and family, neighbours and colleagues might come to faith in Jesus Christ.

Every person, household and church are encouraged to pray during the 11 days in their own way. Let us know how your church or you are praying in this diocese.

We again invite you to pray that God’s Spirit might work in the lives of 5 people who have not responded with their ‘Yes’ to God’s call.
