To mark Clergy Appreciation Month, we feature an outreach program by the Parish of Shediac, which, over several years, has rented and then gifted the use of a summer cottage to a clergy family in the diocese.

The recipient has the use of a waterfront cottage on Shediac Bay for one week. Such a cottage rental could easily go for $2,000, out of reach for most clergy.

Sept. 19 - John Paul Westin - 40 years a deacon
Sept. 20 - Elaine Hamilton - 45 years a deacon

Clergy anniversaries are recognized at 10 and 25 years, and subsequent five-year intervals.

Friday, Sept. 18 & Friday, Oct. 2, 7 p.m.   During this Season of Creation, our former dean, Keith Joyce will visit the Cathedral to lead us in special celebrations of Celtic Eucharist. 
A Celtic Eucharist is a simple, contemplative Christian communion service combining elements of (the) traditional liturgy with insights and imagery from the creation-centered Celtic devotional lineage. Such services are often held in the evening and foster quiet reflection, and ours will do just that!
Each service will be less than an hour long. And please feel especially invited if you are first-timers or curious at all about Celtic spirituality.

Sept. 20 @ 4 p.m.  St John's Church in Richmond Corner will hold A Blessing of the Animals Service. The service will take place at St. John's Anglican Church, 3671 NB 540, Richmond Corner, NB. The event will happen rain or shine, and all are welcome. 

Sat., Oct. 3, 4-5:30 p.m.   Annual roast beef dinner at St. Luke's Parish Hall, 12 Quispamsis Rd., Quispamsis. Menu:  roast beef, baked potatoes, gravy, veggies and roll, sour cream, pickles and dessert. Tickets: $22, available by calling 506-847-7609. Take-out drive thru style only.

Oct. 4 @ 3 p.m.  The Anglican Parish of Saint Stephen will hold their ecumenical Blessing of Animals Service. The service will take place at David Alison Ganong Chocolate Park, 66 Milltown Blvd, Saint Stephen, NB. Please note that ONLY PETS are welcome to this service, NO livestock. If you would like your livestock blessed, please bring a picture of your animal(s) with you. This service welcomes everyone.

Oct. 26-30  Trinity Anglican Church in the Parish of Sussex will hold its annual online auction this October.  Parish donations will be listed for bidding, and the community is always very generous with their bids. All funds raised go back to the community through various charities.

Camp Brookwood is excited to introduce our first Fall Youth Retreat!

Youth aged 9-16 from anywhere are invited. There will be lots of great camp activities, worship, and a campfire glow party. It is hoped this will become an annual event.

Registration will be at 5:30pm on Friday, the 25th, with pick up on Saturday at 4:30pmp. The fee is $60.00.
