Clergy Day: MAiD, Pastoral Care & Spiritual Conversation
The day will begin with coffee and refreshments at 9:30AM, and the gathering will start at 10:00AM. Together, we'll meet for a focused day on Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), exploring the pastoral, spiritual, and theological dimensions that many of us are encountering in ministry.
We are grateful to welcome David Maginley as our guest facilitator. David is a hospital chaplain, spiritual care practitioner, and award-winning author who has spent over 25 years walking alongside patients, families, and healthcare professionals in palliative and end-of-life care. A four-time cancer survivor himself, he brings both deep professional insight and lived experience to conversations around suffering, death, and meaning.
David has spoken widely on the spiritual dimensions of MAiD, helping caregivers and faith leaders navigate the ethical tensions, pastoral questions, and human realities that arise at the end of life.
Lunch will be provided.
All active clergy, licensed lay evangelists, and ministry students are warmly encouraged to attend.
Please RSVP to assist with planning and catering.
