In March, Alongside Hope will be marking International Women’s Day and welcoming Ellen Mubanga, Country Director with Zambian Anglican Council Outreach Program (ZACOP), as reflector.
Ellen Mubanga holds a master’s degree in Public Health, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Advanced Health Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Education. She is an NLP graduate and a Mentor, Leadership, and Career Coach. She has served in public health, education, and social development across government and civil society. Ellen is also a Mentor, Leadership and Career Coach, Behaviour Change Communication, Gender, HIV & Adolescent Health Specialist.
In 2023, Ellen was awarded the United Nations Global Woman of Distinction Award. She is a graduate of the African Women Leadership Course and the Landmark Forum Wisdom Course, and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Theology. Married for over 20 years, with one biological son, she is a person of faith and an advocate for celebrating humanity and family life. Ellen is a member of the Mothers' Union and a Lay Minister in her congregation. Her commitment is to develop leaders among women and young people who inspire others and create a Culture of Joy.
